This Business Operations Manager position offers comprehensive management support to the Partner leading the Firm’s Private Equity practice across EMEA (the "Regional Section Head") and involves conducting financial analysis to enhance the effective management of the section. It is ideal for professionals with a background in financial analysis who seek to advance their careers by expanding their expertise into a wider array of general management support functions.
Key Responsibilities
RSH Management:
- Assisting with, and managing specific projects and initiatives led by the Regional Section Head (RSH), working closely with human resources and business development teams across EMEA
- Organising agendas, speakers, slides, and taking minutes for regular section and London meetings, as well as ad hoc team meetings outside of London, coordinating with lead partners as necessary
- Conducting ad hoc financial and non-financial data analysis to support various projects, including client initiatives, efficiency improvements, and resource adjustments
- Serving as an alternative point of contact for the RSH on agreed projects, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with other personnel in the firm
- Supporting Firm and executive committee requests, focusing on business priorities and actions
Finance:
- Utilising available data to create high-level trends and conclusions, supporting the growth and financial performance of the section, and reviewing monthly financial performance with the Regional Section Head (RSH)
- Managing the section's financial forecast and budget, including discussions with lead partners on full-year expectations, headcount, and market dynamics
- Working with the inventory manager, particularly at year-end, to support billing/collection drives and full-year revenue forecasts
- Providing finance updates to lead partners, covering Key Performance Metrics (KPMs), inventory management, and budget requirements
- Handling partner and client financials, as well as approving and analysing expenses
Qualifications and skills
- 3 years’ experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within professional services.
- Proficiency with well-known software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
- Experience using core financial systems, tools, and databases for financial analysis.
- Familiarity with AI and technology in a professional services environment (preferred)
- A focus on executing projects with strong organisational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and high levels of integrity and performance standards
- High levels of self-motivation, resourcefulness, and proactivity in solving challenges, along with balanced judgment and professional composure in highly pressured situations
- The ability to build strong relationships with partners and colleagues across various functions and teams

Location and Reporting
This role is based in London, and reports into the Director of Finance, EMEA. This role is also accountable to the Regional Section Head in EMEA for Private Equity, for the service provided.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week. Occasional travel to EMEA may be required.
