Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Pricing and Commercial Analyst to join our Group Finance team in London.

The Pricing and Commercial team provides oversight and strategic direction across the global business with the goal of enhancing commercial returns. The remit of the team is split between influencing results at a client level, and driving self-started projects to leverage broader opportunities.

Role purpose
To act as business partner and trusted advisor to relationship partners and other senior decision-makers with the principle objective of optimising profitability at a client level.  To add further commercial value through analysis of internal and external financial levers and through sharing of pricing best practice across the wider network. To lead on key cross-department projects and act as interface between Finance and the Business

Role and responsibilities

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of clients from a commercial perspective; advise Partners across the full range of value-add options in addition to rates 
  • Assist in the financial analysis relating to client pitches (panel / client), onboarding and maintaining clients
  • Maintain and improve client / rate information via the CCD and 3e platforms
  • Help to develop pricing best practice processes to support finance colleagues across the network
  • Commercial reporting across our portfolio to support development of firm’s long-term profitability goals
  • Maintain a range of pricing models used across the wider business
  • Assist with operational improvement projects including focus on data analysis and process optimization
  • Collaborate to ensure agreed projects are implemented and measured effectively

Key requirements

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders with credibility with the backing of data-driven insight
  • Excellent communicator; able to explain complex issues to financial or non-financial stakeholders
  • Apply a methodical and meticulous approach to solving difficult, sometimes ambiguous, problems
  • Collaborative, hands-on approach to ensure success across a team-based environment
  • Adjusts style to individual circumstances and demonstrates high levels of emotional intelligence
  • Results driven; having a proactive, goal-orientated approach to decision making
  • Strong time management; able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and targets
  • Ability to quickly learn new IT systems
  • Qualifications and work experience
  • Some experience as a pricing professional (B2B / Professional Services preferred)
  • Qualified Accountant (beneficial, but not essential)
