Kennedys is looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join our Learning and Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global HR team that offers great potential as the organisation goes through an exciting period of change.

The role is an exciting HR development role for someone passionate about building their career in Talent Development. It will support the team to deliver a variety of talent projects, including performance, talent management and career development, as well as play a pivotal role in promoting learning and development opportunities across the firm. The successful person will have a passion for talent development, have strong planning and organisational skills; have strong written and IT skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the firm.

Our hybrid working policy will allow the successful person to work flexibly from home and either our Chelmsford or Manchester offices.

Team

Kennedys HR team support the firm around the world with all people related matters.

The HR team is based in Chelmsford, London and Manchester for the UK, Belfast and Dublin for EMEA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia for APAC, Basking Ridge for US and Miami for LATAM. The areas of HR that we have responsibility for are Business Partnering, Learning and Development, Policies and Operations, Recruitment, Responsible Business (Social Impact and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), Reward and HR Systems. The HR function is also responsible for the Secretarial function in the UK.

You will be working in a fast-paced, demanding, and global environment as we strive to make a difference for our people, clients and communities where we work.

Key responsibilities 

  • Support the delivery of talent development and learning projects within the team, working collaboratively with the L&D Business Partners and other stakeholders.
  • Provide operational support to projects, including creating and updating project and communications plans, providing logistics and planning support and completing tasks to support the delivery of key projects.
  • Maintain, update and promote our Learning Experience platform, ensuring content remains dynamic and relevant to emerging business needs and the platform provides a strong user experience driving increased engagement.
  • Lead on the communication and marketing plan for learning and maintain and update communication channels, with the support of our internal communications team and L&D Business Partners
  • Promote learning initiatives, programmes, career pathways and stories to increase awareness of career development opportunities at the firm and support the development of a learning culture.
  • Be the central point of contact for our Learning Champions network, keeping them engaged and informed and empowered to support the learning team to increase awareness of learning opportunities and encourage engagement across the firm.

Required experience 

  • Experience of supporting the delivery of global talent projects
  • Experience of operating in a fast paced, commercial environment within a global organisation
  • Demonstrable organisational and planning skills
  • Experience of working with modern learning platforms and technologies
  • Collaborative and a strong team player
  • Strong technology skills – learning platforms, excel, word, PowerPoint
  • Strong and persuasive writer with a flair for writing engaging and promotional communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to quickly build relationships and demonstrate credibility in a professional environment
  • Ability to work at speed and balance a wide range of activities at any one time and at short notice
  • Ability to manage own work load and work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under high pressure
