The role

The primary purpose of this role is to increase awareness to drive adoption of Law& Managed Legal Services Solutions (including LPM, LDC, Legal Tech solutions) in Dublin.   The MLS Manager will be responsible for activities and communications necessary to raise appropriate awareness of the Law& offerings to increase adoption, helping to win work with clients and also managing and influencing significant internal and external clients.

The MLS Manager will work closely with regional leaders, lawyers and Law& business partners to convert strategy into specific functional plans and to ensure that the region maximises the use of solutions available (LPM, Legal Delivery Centre and Legal Tech in particular) to optimise the way our legal teams operate. 

The MLS Manager will be the face of Law& and will be the “go to” for any relevant enquires and opportunities within the region. They will integrate themselves within practice groups to gain an understanding of the support required and identify opportunities.
The MLS Manager is a client facing role with responsibility for delivering legal products and services directly to internal and external clients. They must have significant experience and be competent in delivery of legal services. The MLS manager will be responsible for the delivery of the overall strategy in Dublin and also the on project, client facing and chargeable delivery of the appropriate deliverables (eg – project management of significant in country matters and/or legal operations consulting)   They will be responsible for pitching Law& solutions directly to clients developing their own independent workstream over the short, medium and long term in the region while working independently with clients in high-risk environments. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for a driving adoption of Law& and LPM services across named groups and sectors in the relevant location and region, converting strategy into specific functional plans
  • Act as an ambassador for Law&, dealing with initial enquiries from lawyers and clients and proactively spotting opportunities
  • Deliver training and workshops to promote and increase awareness of Law& offerings
  • introduce new working efficiencies and develop improved processes, tools and systems across the location/region
  • Responsible for producing a catalogue of case studies
  • Excellent understanding of all other DLAP functions and specialisms to enable appropriate and efficient delegation and resourcing of projects for the benefit of DLAP
  • Support and influence Senior Partners and stakeholders to successfully deliver projects
  • Identify new opportunities via the stakeholder network
  • Consultancy role in work product re-engineering
  • Identify and propose to the central management team any future needs and identified improvements to the firm’s systems and approach
  •  Act as an ambassador for Law& both internally and client-facing

ABOUT YOU

Technical:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to influence and build lasting relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to independently and proactively troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Experience in confidently delivering presentations, training and pitches to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Sophisticated understanding of Law Firm operations
  • Good knowledge of local practices and key sectors across the region
  • Analytical and strategic mind set; financially aware and numerate
  • Competent with technology, being able to use various other IT tools to support efficient working processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent written and spoken in English is essential
  • MBA or similar qualification is an advantage but not essential
  • Prince 2 or similar qualification is an advantage but not essential
  • Having worked “client side” is an advantage but not essential
