Our Newly Qualified (NQ) training programme focuses on supporting colleagues transition to a NQ solicitor. The programme is designed to cover a range of topics including career development and financial training as well as build networks and facilitate collaboration, creating a real sense of togetherness across our NQ group to develop your career with the Firm.

What sort of work? Our highly experienced Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency team is looking for a Solicitor to join our London office.

The role will predominately focus on insolvency work and will involve advising insolvency practitioners, directors, companies, individual debtors and other stakeholders on the full range of insolvency procedures from administrations through to personal bankruptcy. In addition, the role will involve a certain amount of banking enforcement work, particularly in relation to secured lending.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The role will be based in our London office and the ideal candidate will have:

  • Undertaken a trainee seat in Restructuring & Insolvency, Property and Commercial Litigation experience would also be advantageous.
  • Exhibit high levels of client service (both to internal and external clients).
  • A genuine interest in promoting business development opportunities.

Other skills required include:

  • A commercial, creative and 'Can do' approach to work and an ability to provide clients with solutions.
  • An interest in and an ability to quickly understand the client's business is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; effective communicator at all levels (written and verbal).
  • Enthusiastic, friendly team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines in a flexible and proactive way.
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality and use of tact and discretion.
  • Excellent work ethic, committed to working towards goals with enthusiasm and career commitment and on-going learning and development.
