Department/Role overview

The Intapp Senior Developer will work on project specific items, enhancements and BAU tasks as a hands-on technical lead, supporting numerous improvements to enhance our firm's Risk Business applications. The role involves supporting the firm's Intapp Open product suite modules, such as Intake, Conflicts, Terms, Walls, and Mobile Time and also includes providing support for the Elite 3e system and SQL monitoring. as well as other key Digital applications as required.

As an Intapp Senior Developer, you will collaborate with the rest of the Digital Practice Solutions team to support and develop these Intapp applications. This includes continuous improvement initiatives, project work, and day-to-day support tasks. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing technical updates, improving workflows, and making recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness. Close collaboration with Core Applications, Risk and Compliance, and CML project teams will be essential to drive this transformation forward.

Overall, this role demands expertise in developing solutions and supporting the Intapp Open product suite and integration into 3E. Additionally, it requires the ability to manage various responsibilities related to administration, development, project management, and incident resolution.

In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic team focused on developing and maintaining the company's Intapp suite of products. You'll work closely with product owners, application developers, and other stakeholders to implement technical changes, build integrations and troubleshoot complex issues.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and application teams to implement technical changes for their Intapp solutions and if appropriate 3E and provide technical support for Intapp solutions, focusing on, Intake, Conflicts, Terms, Walls, Time application and 3E related activities.
  • Resolve operational/technical helpdesk tickets related to the Intapp product suite and 3E system.
  • Create, manage, and optimise forms, notifications, integrations, and workflows using Intapp designers.
  • Manage user settings, system configurations, and SSRS reports.
  • Develop, modify, and optimise SSRS reports and integration builder objects to meet business needs.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for workflow-oriented business processes, such as new business intake and conflicts, and suggest improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Document bug fixes and enhancements to ensure continuing operational quality.
  • Provide escalated technical and application support to users of intake, risk management, and conflicts applications.
  • Analyse system performance discrepancies and recommend updates and upgrades, collaborating with vendors where necessary.
  • Participate in project teams for implementing new systems and enhancing existing ones.
  • Identify and recommend production customisations and enhancements.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and deliver on agreed product roadmap changes.
  • Translate backlog items into actionable tasks for development.
  • Review and approve implementation of backlog items.
  • Continuously improve processes and applications.
  • Effectively communicate within a scrum team environment.
  • Work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Be adaptable and flexible, able to handle changing priorities

Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Technical profile

  • Experience in key Digital Practice technical applications and software within a law firm, including , Intapp product suite (Intake, Conflicts, Time, Walls & Terms), 3E, and SAAS applications.
  • Intermediate-level Microsoft SQL scripting and server coding skills, essential for database management and integration tasks.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft tools and programming languages, particularly .NET framework (primarily VB.NET) and XML-related technologies, enabling effective customisation and development of software solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with customisable third-party solutions integrations, ensuring seamless interoperability between different systems.
  • Strong infrastructure background and knowledge for incident troubleshooting, resolution, and upgrades, primarily on Windows operating systems, essential for maintaining system reliability and performance.
  • Detail-oriented with an analytical and root cause analysis approach to issue resolution, ensuring thorough problem-solving and preventing recurrence.
  • Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems (ServiceDesk+/Cherwell preferred), facilitating efficient handling of technical issues and tracking of support requests.
  • Ability to produce meaningful and reliable technical documentation, essential for documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration within the team.

Essential skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong experience providing SME technical support on Intapp product suite - Intake, Conflicts, Time, Walls & Terms, or similar business solutions in the Legal sector will be considered.
  • Experienced Technical skillset on Intapp Walls - Activity Tracker, & Matter Team Manager with iManage Work 10 DMS & Elite 3E or similar management products will be considered.
  • Advanced Intapp Integrate knowledge and experience for developing/updating/troubleshooting data integrations between systems or similar application integration solutions.
  • Ability to learn, support, and cover multiple existing and new Legal on prem, hybrid & cloud applications as well as Intapp - Interaction CRM, iManage Work document management, Cherwell would be beneficial.
  • Exposure supporting multiple cloud, on premise hybrid applications with SSO & Integrations.
  • Strong infrastructure background and knowledge is required for incident troubleshooting, resolution and upgrades, primarily on Windows Operating systems.
  • Detail oriented with an analytical and root cause analysis approach to issue resolution.
  • SQL Administration skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business users of the systems.
  • Experience of ITSM Ticketing systems (ServiceDesk+/Cherwell preferred).
  • Ability to produce meaningful and reliable technical documentation.
  • ITIL 3 or 4 qualification or relevant experience and understanding of the framework including CAB Process.
  • Previous legal sector application support experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management & organisational skills.
  • Excellent security awareness.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to change.

Desired skills and experience

  • Strong understanding and skills using relational databases, primarily SQL Server, including authoring statements and clauses, querying for reporting and data extract.
  • Proficiency in Boomi development environment, process building, data mapping, and transformation.
  • Experience building reports using SSRS and experience with law firm Intake and Conflict systems.
  • Experience with web services and 3rd party APIs, including Intapp Open API.
  • GUI-based workflow/forms design experience.
  • Understanding of table/field locations for 3rd party integration/query integrations.
  • Advanced MSSQL administration skills for server administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with application upgrades, including security, bug fixes, and version upgrades to introduce new business features.
