Job Details

Our national Property Dispute Resolution team is one of the largest and most highly rated in the UK and we are now looking for a paralegal to expand our team.

What does the team do?

The team advise a broad range of clients on all aspects of residential landlord and tenant, and residential property dispute resolution and property management.  We have an enviable client list, made up of investors, landlords and managing agents (with national portfolios), ranging from significant public and quasi-public sector bodies to FTSE 250 household names across a range of sectors including social housing, PRS, Build to Rent, student, charity, central and local government.

You'll play an important role assisting our lawyers in a wide range of substantial contentious property matters, including landlord and tenant (short tenant and long leasehold),  general property issues such as recovering possession, trespass action, disrepair, injunctions and licensing.  The Property Disputes Team work very closely with our transactional Real Estate team so you will have the opportunity to develop strong ties across the practice.

Along with regular supervision and support, there will also be plenty of opportunity for regular client contact to enhance your communication and relationship building skills.  You'll be supported by a tight knit, friendly team with a collegiate approach and a firm wide commitment to development.

So what are we looking for?

Due to the growth in our work, as well as the variety and complexity of what we do, this role ideally needs some previous property litigation paralegal experience.  You'll be highly organised, efficient and able to prioritise effectively as we often work to tight and urgent court deadlines. In this client facing role, you'll also need to be able to build and maintain strong relationships.

To be successful in this role, you'll need as a minimum:

  • Completed your law degree or other legal qualification and have previously worked as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or similar within litigation or real estate.
  • Experience managing and prioritising your workload.
  • Computer literacy, having had experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
