Senior Conflicts Analyst

White & Case opens more than 13,000 matters every year, or 1 matter per hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Playing a key role in assisting Partners and fee earners to identify potential conflicts of interest during new business intake, you will work at the heart of the Firm’s operations and as a trusted advisor to our lawyers.
By providing assistance to Partners, fee earners and PA’s in relation to conflicts of interest identified during new business intake, you will also be supporting the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) in handling all aspects related to incoming new business for both new/existing clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise fee earners on conflict issues, ensuring compliance with global regulations and bar rules, and collaborate with OGC and partners for complex cases
- Conduct thorough research on clients, shareholders, and beneficial owners to ensure compliance with global conflicts and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and undergo cross-training as needed on AML clearance processes
- Manage both basic and complex conflict search requests, adhering to client and matter risk policies
- Handle reactivation and additional party requests, including KYC research
- Support junior team members by mentoring them, acting as an escalation point, and guiding them through the conflicts process
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum three years’ relevant experience (required)
- University degree in Law, Business, Finance or Marketing (preferred)
- Strong academic background and intellectual curiosity, fostering creative thinking
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage with individuals at all levels
- Ability to demonstrate mature judgement and handle confidential information appropriately
- Pragmatic, self-motivated, and flexible, excelling in both team and independent work
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines, with a willingness to take on additional tasks when needed

Location & Reporting
This role will be based in our London office, and will report into the New Business Manager.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
