The role

The IRG Operations Manager will collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager and work closely with the IRG Leadership team to deliver comprehensive operational and project support across the Risk and Resilience, Internal Audit and Information Security departments. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and oversee expenditures within the IRG International budget to ensure a consolidated reporting view is maintained, identifying cost savings and potential financial impacts.
  • Management of the IRG recruitment activities, ensuring vacancies are progressing in a timely manner and relevant approvals are in place. 
  • Assist in the preparation for and follow-up of all IRG team meetings, including Town Halls, as well as meetings with the Executive team, Board, Risk and Audit Committee.
  • Effectively manage regular IRG reporting and updates, ensuring timely compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Build task management tool kit and process for stakeholders to follow. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define change management objectives, scope and deliverables.
  • Develop and support creation of roadmaps, including timelines, resource allocation and budgets. 
  • Maintain and support with reporting of project and BAU activities. 
  • Identify, track, and manage BAU risks and issues, working with the ERM function to conduct risk assessments to evaluate the impact and likelihood of identified risks. 
  • Drive day-to-day Departmental action resolution and remediation, ensuring actions are allocated to the relevant people and are acted upon.
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture within and beyond the International Risk Group.
  • Deputise for the IRG Operations Senior Manager as required.
  • Support new Steering Committees and forums from drafting ToRs to engaging with stakeholders for actions.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience of working in an operational role in a legal, professional services or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering continuous improvement in growth environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can evidence the management of team or departmental communications to drive wider awareness and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience of working effectively with cross-functional areas within a matrix structure.
  • Can engage and influence remotely-based colleagues without consistent face-to-face contact.
  • Be a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team.
  • Has the ability to influence a diverse stakeholder group across international locations.
  • Possesses a high level of commercial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Is comfortable operating in ambiguous situations, demonstrating a flexible and collaborative working style.
  • High level of professionalism and personal accountability. 
  • Great stakeholder management.
  • Self-starter and uses initiative to support objectives agreed with senior stakeholders.
  • Good presentation preparation and delivery skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to deadlines and high quality outputs.
