Job Details

The role

  • Proactively contributing to the development of the UK reward strategy and being the principal stakeholder interface during the development of that strategy.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to execute that strategy thereby providing compensation solutions which deliver our UK business ambitions.
  • In close collaboration with the Reward leadership team leading annual reward cycle activity (e.g. salary review, flexible benefits enrolment and bonus awards) in a legally compliant and cost-effective manner.
  • Improving the UK’s return on investment through both direct, and indirect, interventions and project management.

The role’s scope excludes Partner remuneration.


  • Partner stakeholders to develop and deliver a UK reward strategy that helps enable the business to achieve its business objectives.
  • Proactively influence International reward thinking, planning and delivery and ensure that the UK’s ‘voice’ is heard.
  • Through robust programme and stakeholder management deliver annual reward cycle activity across the UK effectively on time and to budget.
  • Lead on UK compensation financial modelling and analysis to ensure that decisions are data informed.
  • Through proactive collaboration across all stakeholders develop and maintain a UK reward operations and communications calendar to ensure a common understanding of key reward activity timelines.
  • Partner reward team colleagues to ensure that delivery of UK focussed policies and processes engage UK colleagues.
  • Inform stakeholder debate and identify UK policy and communication improvement opportunities to improve ROI in a manner that balances commercial objectives with employee engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvement, and proactively discourage complacency, to ensure that stakeholders seek advice from us and hold the team in high regard.
  • Embed the role framework across the UK from a reward perspective leading on regular audits and upskilling stakeholders to improve consistency and fairness of the grading approach across the UK.
  • Working within the agreed RACI deliver the reward team’s gender pay reporting obligations and contribute to the broader debate regarding the report content and plan as required.
  • Develop personal expertise to ensure that the advice provided is always the most appropriate and considers the latest thinking.
  • Proactively contribute to broader reward team debate to ensure that we do not operate in specialism silos but rather as a coherent, effective and value adding centre of excellence.
  • Manage third-party suppliers robustly to ensure that service standards are at least met, and that delivery is within budget.
  • As and when required deputise for reward team peers to ensure on-going delivery across the team.
  • As required undertake broader project work to support the delivery of the HR strategy.



  • Accomplished reward management experience with practical experience of delivering complex salary and bonus reviews, benchmarking, HR information systems, recognition tools and performance management.
  • Proven experience of effective working with HR and Finance business partners.
  • Strong commercial skills with experience of robustly managing third party delivery and financials.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to analyse, organise and present in an engaging manner numerical and statistical data.
  • Creative thinking, problem solving and attention to detail is essential.
  • Proven ability to communicate with, and influence, key stakeholders. The role holder must be able to explain complex matters clearly and simply.
  • Self-starter with high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • A working style that can adapt to different audiences and environments.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.  The role holder must be able to organise time well to deliver effectively on time and to budget.


  • Experience of working in a partnership and/or matrix environment.
  • Experience of delivering compensation programmes using SuccessFactors.
