Job Details
Our Public Law & Projects team advises public and private sector clients across a range of projects and has a significant track record acting on projects in the heat networks, waste, health, local government, education and PPP sectors.
We pride ourselves on fostering a vibrant and engaging work environment that makes our legal team an absolute joy to be a part of. We believe that a positive workplace not only boosts productivity but also fuels creativity and camaraderie among our team members.
We are now looking for a 1-5 PQE lawyer to join the team in our Leeds office.
What does the team do?
Gone are the days of dry legal jargon and monotonous routines. Our collaborative culture ensures that every day brings something new to learn, explore, and celebrate. You'll be part of a diverse group of professionals who believe in supporting one another while embracing creativity along the way.
We advise on some of the most complex and high profile infrastructure and services projects which the public sector delivers and which make a tangible difference to people's lives. We have a particular expertise in delivering green infrastructure such as heat networks which deliver low carbon heat and will play an important role in decarbonising the UK.
You'll see yourself involved in all aspects of projects from inception, procurement, completion, through to the operational phase including front-end contract strategy, project documentation, contract variation, regulatory matters and risk management across our sectors.
Clients include local government, central government departments, NHS Trusts, contractors, funders, universities and other public sector bodies.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
We're looking for a skilled contracts lawyer with experience of working with both public & private sector clients. Ideally, we are seeking someone who has a background as a Projects Lawyer with experience in the waste & heat networks sector, but more importantly you will have a genuine enthusiasm for contract law and the aspiration to deliver a first class service to our clients. We are open to candidates operating both in-house and in private practice.
As a Projects Lawyer with us, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge initiatives, ranging from ground breaking projects to decarbonise cities to innovative regeneration ventures. Picture yourself negotiating deals that shape cities, drafting contracts, and providing legal counsel that delivers the infrastructure needed for our daily lives. Our vibrant and passionate team understands that our projects is not just about paperwork; it's an adventure that unfolds daily.
You'll need to draft and review contracts, ensuring accuracy & clarity and utilise your knowledge of public sector regulations to navigate complex contract matters.
