Department/Role overview
The role will be focused on the robust management of the People & Culture systems projects during a period of parental leave cover, management of HR systems, vendor and senior stakeholder management and project management.
The successful candidate will manage three individuals based in (Glasgow) and form part of the global People Data & Systems team that manage the firm's People and Culture applications.
Main responsibilities
- Management of HR systems to ensure delivery to the wider Ashurst community and ensuring the solutions are aligned to the HR system strategy.
- Responsible for driving system adoption, stabilization, data integrity, and enhancements to enable Human Resources operations and strategic initiatives.
- Delivery against an agreed HR systems roadmap in consultation with key internal stakeholders e.g. Finance, IT.
- Drive software solutions development where appropriate, leading on research and evaluation from 3rd party suppliers and production of necessary deliverables such as tender documents, liaising with suppliers alongside project managers, proposing recommendations to senior management in HR and IT.
- Take the lead as the HR representative when liaising with other support functions particularly with Financial Management (Finance) and IT.
- Lead on global systems projects working with various stakeholders across the business
- Manage internal HR stakeholders ensuring communication is clear and timely across the global organisation as required.
- Manage third parties and suppliers in terms of relationships, service delivery, budget and cost control.
- Coach and develop other members of the HRIS team and where required the wider HR team in key processes and procedures
Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Essential skills and experience
- Delivery of multiple HR projects in a complex global environment
- Experience across multiple HCM technologies and tools
- Oracle HCM experience desirable
- Implementation of the HCM modules, including process mapping, UAT, and ensuring data is accurate and up to date
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that can be adapted to a range of business scenarios and audiences, demonstrating strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Relationship management skills to build effective, collaborative partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholder
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise between competing tasks and deadlines.
