Job Details
Our national Property Dispute Resolution team is one of the largest and most highly rated in the UK and we are looking for a 2-3 PQE property litigation lawyer to expand our team.
What does the team do?
The team advise a broad range of clients on all aspects of residential landlord and tenant, and residential property dispute resolution and property management. We have an enviable client list, made up of investors, landlords and managing agents (with national portfolios), ranging from significant public and quasi-public sector bodies to FTSE 250 household names across a range of sectors including social housing, PRS, Build to Rent, student, charity, central and local government.
You'll see yourself advising our clients on a wide range of substantial contentious property matters, including landlord and tenant (short tenant and long leasehold), general property issues such as recovering possession, trespass action, disrepair, Injunctions and licensing. You'll be working with some truly talented lawyers across all levels of the business.
The Property Disputes Team work very closely with our transactional Real Estate team so you will have the opportunity to develop strong ties across the practice, as well as access to quality work from our existing high calibre client list.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
Most importantly you will have a genuine enthusiasm for this area of law and the aspiration to deliver a first class service to our clients. Specific experience in residential property dispute resolution is essential.
You'll need strong academic ability, a thorough approach to complex legal analysis with swift assimilation of complicated sets of facts. Your written advice will be fluent and concise and your high level of commerciality will enable you to address the client's overall objectives. Strong interpersonal skills will give you the ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with the different interests of our clients.
As important will be the ability to work with and alongside a range of colleagues, across locations, as some of the work we deal with involves multi-disciplinary teams. This is an exciting time to join this team and the role offers an unrivalled opportunity to learn from the best, to develop a career in a growing specialism, and to be mentored and supervised in a supportive environment. The role will also require you to supervise more junior colleagues, and will provide a very real opportunity to advance your career.
