SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

BIRMINGHAM, LONDON, EDINBURGH OR LEEDS

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Legal Project Management team in any of the above offices. The Senior Legal Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering client facing legal matters from a project management perspective. The role will also focus on improving profitability, efficiency and client service on the matters they are involved in. The Senior Legal Project Manager may also have line management and career development responsibility for more junior members of the team.

The Senior Legal Project Manager will work with lawyers and clients, to define the scope of projects/matters and to identify the most appropriate project delivery approach based on business needs, project risk, impact and cost.  Strategic support and operational project management support on projects/matters are key elements of the role.

Candidate Overview

The ideal candidate will have significant project management capabilities at a senior level, preferably gained in a professional services environment.  Previous experience of working in a legal environment is not essential but would be beneficial.  They will be someone who is able to work with limited supervision to effectively manage project delivery. The successful candidate will have the ability to understand and assess business and change management needs at project level and will have experience of delivering complex projects working across multiple business functions, teams and geographies/jurisdictions.
