The role

The International Credit Control Manager will provide leadership and management support to the UK Credit Control Manager and Ireland Senior Collector, to ensure a high-quality service to the business. Support the International Service Delivery Manager to ensure international services are delivered to the firm’s appropriate quality and timeliness standards. Ensuring cash collection and debtor days targets are consistently met.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Head of Finance (UK), Head of Finance (Europe), Country Managing Partner (UK) and Head of Operations, providing analysis, insight and direction to improve cash collection within the UK & Ireland
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with Country Managing Partners, Group and Sector Heads, and with Finance Business Partners 
  • Provide a point of escalation for collection risks/issues and incidents. Liaise with the appropriate teams to ensure problems are resolved quickly and stakeholders are kept informed
  • Prepare weekly/monthly management information reports, such as debt reporting and balanced scorecards
  • Work closely with other Service Delivery Managers and Finance Managers to deliver service improvement initiatives and improved process hand-offs
  • Champion the firm’s International Credit Policy and the use of the new SNAP (SAP) collections module for managing credit control activities
  • Work closely with our Client Intake, Billing, Master Data and Treasury teams to improve the firm’s working capital performance
  • Support with the management of all legal proceedings in line with the Pre-Action Conduct and Protocol policy

ABOUT YOU

  • Experienced senior credit professional with a track record of leading and managing teams to achieve outstanding results within a credit collections function
  • Demonstrable experience working in professional services
  • Thorough understanding of Credit Control procedures and Credit Risks
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability operate at all levels internally and externally
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to drive a continuous improvement mindset in your team and demonstrating a good understanding of process management and improvement methodologies
  • Strong coaching, counselling and training skills
  • Process and workload management skills and high level of comfort working against challenging timescales with multiple priorities in a robust and fast-paced environment
