We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate specialising in PPP and PFI disputes to join our UK Construction Litigation team. You will have the opportunity to flourish within our fast-paced environment and have the opportunity to advance your career within our global firm.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Following significant growth to date and further projected growth, we now have a new role for a Contentious lawyer specialising in PPP/PFI disputes to join our market leading team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The key focus of the role will be on domestic and international disputes arising from PPP and PFI contracts and projects. Acting predominantly, but not exclusively, for infrastructure investment funds, the successful candidate will gain direct experience in all aspects of PPP and PFI disputes from construction phase through the operational phase and up to expiry and handback. The role can be based in any one of our UK offices.

ABOUT YOU

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales
  • Experience in PPP and PFI disputes
  • We do not set upper or lower PQE requirements for any of our vacancies, however a minimum of 4 years fee earning experience within a Top 50 firm is highly desirable
  • Well-developed professional and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and legal technical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and develop relationships across the business
  • Organised and with ability to manage projects
  • Proactive and innovative
  • Recognises and seizes opportunities for the firm, including repeat business
  • Builds and develops own network of internal and external contacts
  • Awareness of business development initiatives in the department and identifies ways to contribute
  • Good knowledge of PC applications, including MS Office
