We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a professional, engaging individual to join us as an Accounts/Cashiers Assistant, leading our London-based Finance Team.

ROLE OVERVIEW 

We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to support the Accounts team which sits within the Finance department, forming part of the wider Business Services function and based at the firm’s Head Office in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Accounts team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function.

Our accounts team is made up of 5 individuals and sits within the wider Finance department. The purpose of the role is to provide day to day accounting support to the firm you will be working to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining an exceptionally high standard in all aspects of the role.

This role involves working as part of a team, communicating with partners and stakeholders, and liaising with internal groups and external providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm.

  • Preparing daily and monthly Bank Reconciliations.
  • Preparing daily Reconciliations of Unpaid Professional Disbursements.
  • Payments and Administration of Supplier Accounts
  • Providing support to the Accounts Manager and others in the Finance team
  • Help maintain a currency cash desk.
  • Supporting the Costs department to ensure timely billing of Disbursements.
  • Attending and contributing to team meetings
  • Payments and Administration of Supplier Accounts.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Candidates for this position must have:

  • Studying towards a professional qualification. 
  • Excellent excel skills and a good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Packages (e.g. Word).
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with internal clients and the resilience to deal with demanding individuals.
  • A confident, proactive individual prepared to take a hands-on approach to managing their workload using their own initiative.
  • Helping with the Administration of the Firms Audit.
  • Comfortable accepting instructions and guidance from different angles.
  • Ability to work well in a team but comfortable working on own initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, spoken and presentational.
  • Excellent proven organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task, keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and food use of grammar.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity; displaying the highest standard of professional ethics.
  • Experience of working in a diverse team whilst fostering an inclusive team culture.
