Our Finance practice group is recruiting a Paralegal to provide support to our award-winning Pensions team.

About the Role

Our award-winning pensions team is experienced in advising trustees and employers on all aspects of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. We also have considerable experience advising on group pensions, insurance products (including buy-in and buy-out arrangements), longevity products and other structures.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Document reviewing, checking and collating
Assisting with file opening procedures
Undertaking legal research
Drafting deeds of appointment & removal as well as deeds of amendment and collating execution copies
Drafting letters to clients
Proof reading
Providing support to a wide range of marketing initiatives
Involvement with the billing process including writing bill narratives
Provide administrative support to our internal Know How portal
Other administrative support as required

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will have an interest/knowledge in pensions law. You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiative and must be used to dealing with a large workload. You will have a strong academic background including a degree in law and the LPC.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and interested in developing your knowledge and skills. This role would suit someone who has good communication and strong team working skills. With a flexible attitude and approach to work, you are able to effectively organise and prioritise whilst supporting multiple teams. At times you will be working to tight deadlines and will be required to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. To be successfull in this role, you will take responsibility for proactively managing a significant and varied volume of work to defined timescales.

Previous legal experience is beneficial but not essential.
