The Housing Group at Womble Bond Dickinson has a well-deserved reputation for providing high quality legal advice, acting as trusted advisors to many of the key players across the sector. It's one of the largest of its kind covering the Private Rented Sector, Housebuilding, Social, Affordable and Development, Build-To-Rent, Student, Later Living, and Public Sector, with a client list that includes some of the largest and most well-known organisations in the sector. It's also a sector which is experiencing significant growth having seen its revenue double in the last 5 years. Now firmly established as a national team, we're looking for a Partner or senior lawyer and/or team, to join us to help further develop the national practice.
It's an exciting time for us here at Womble Bond Dickinson and we believe we have a great story to share. Our transatlantic combination is already delivering great results and has given us a solid platform for growth. Whilst the US links are creating great opportunities for our clients, and our business, we've by no means forgotten our roots and our regional heritage remains central to our business strategy. We've a clear vision, that our Partnership all buy into and support, and that shared ambition is what will ensure that we deliver a profitable and sustainable business for our clients and our people.
What we're looking for
This is a great opportunity for a committed senior lawyer or Partner not only to come in and develop the Housing practice, but to also work with a fantastic group of partners in growing our wider Real Estate offering. We're looking for a senior lawyer or partner with a credible track record in this sector, capable of delivering growth and increasing our national profile. You'll also be expected to support and drive the wider strategic vision of growth for Womble Bond Dickinson. But as well as driving our business forward, you'll have an equally important role to play in the development of our people, coaching and mentoring and taking responsibility for their career development.
What's in it for you
We have a strong, collaborative culture where success is rewarded and our people are supported and encouraged to achieve their potential, whatever their role in the business. That means you'll benefit from a hugely talented group of business professionals all of whom are enthusiastic and committed to the success of our business and ready to support your practice development whether that's through sector or business development advice and support, learning and development opportunities or technology and innovation.
We have some pretty innovative solutions for our clients and the Real Estate team are fully embracing those technologies and practices, all designed to make your life, and those of your clients, that much easier. You can read more about WBD Advance, and what it can do to support you, here.
We recognise that just because you're a senior lawyer, your need for career development doesn't end there. Our Learning and Development team have worked with best-in-class providers, to design a number of masterclasses for partners intended to enhance your leadership and business skills.
What makes it great to work here?
We continually work hard to create an open culture that sets us apart from other firms. Our culture gives us much more of a human feel, emphasising that we're more than just suits! We like and make time for each other enabling us to establish professional relationships that can often become lasting friendships.
Through our D&I initiatives we create an environment in which difference is valued. We have a Diversity and Inclusion Group, led by our Board Sponsor, which works with our colleague networks (we currently have an ethnic diversity, an LGBT+, a family network and we're in constant dialogue with our people about how we expand our networks to better support everybody). We encourage applicants from all social backgrounds, ethnicities, disabilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
As signatories to the Mindful Business Charter, it's important that our people are able to maintain healthy and happy lives, both in and out of work. We have a number of resources and initiatives designed to support health and wellbeing, including our team of dedicated mental health first aiders. We recognise that getting the right work life balance is a priority for all of us and we're very happy to talk flexible working, full-time or part-time working patterns.
And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.
This is an exciting, but hopefully rewarding role. If you're up for that challenge then you have the chance to develop your practice, and career, with a firm prepared to invest and support you through our Partnership framework.
