Job Details

Our national Property Dispute Resolution team is one of the largest and most highly rated in the UK and we now have an opportunity for a Senior Lawyer to join the team (office based or hybrid working).

What does the team do?

You'll be working with some truly talented lawyers at all levels in a close knit team.  The team advise a broad range of clients on all aspects of commercial property dispute resolution and property management.  We have an enviable client list, made up of landlords and tenants (with national portfolios), developers and investors, ranging from significant public and quasi-public sector bodies to FTSE 250 household names across a range of sectors including telecoms, retail, energy, central and local government, charities and transport and infrastructure.

You'll see yourself advising on a wide range of substantial contentious property matters, including the Electronic Communications Code, landlord and tenant (e.g. 1954 Act renewals, dilapidations and break notices)  and general property issues such as adverse possession, easements and title disputes.

The Property Disputes Team works very closely with our transactional Real Estate team so you will have the opportunity to develop strong ties across the practice, as well as access to quality work from our existing high calibre client list. With a strong emphasis on career development in a supportive team, this is an ideal role if you are looking to further develop your knowledge, expertise and reputation by working as part of a highly regarded national team

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You'll need to be an experienced property litigation lawyer.  You'll have an analytical mind and enjoy the intellectual challenge that this work presents. You'll need a strong academic ability, a thorough approach to complex legal analysis and the ability to provide fluent and concise advice. A sense of pragmatism and a commercial outlook together with a collaborative approach to working with and supervising other members of the team will be vital.
