Department/Role overview:

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Business Development Executive to join our global Business Development team.

This role will support the Bank Industry CRM team, providing high quality business development and marketing support, specifically working to drive Priority Client relationships and support firm wide client and industry management initiatives.

The Business Development Executive will act as an ambassador for the firm's Priority Client Programmes and the Bank Industry and will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of high profile, client centric projects, working with senior stakeholders across the firm

Main responsibilities:

Client and Industry leadership

  • Support the Priority Client account planning process and oversight of relationship commitments.
  • Work with central team to compile client facing relationship reports for financial and non-financial data market data.
  • Draw on external and internal research, business analysis and competitor intelligence to support client facing activity and opportunities
  • Proactively track client and industry news and trends, spotting revenue generation opportunities to supporting the relevant Client Relationship Managers and Partners
  • Support internal communications and sharing news and intelligence on the client and industry programmes.
  • Support the Client Listening programme: management, reporting and analysis of trends to identify actions required and opportunities arising.
  • Support the delivery of the Bank Industry go-to-market plan. This includes our approach to industry thought leadership, alignment with industry bodies, prioritisation and organisation of industry conferences,
  • and profile raising initiatives across the industry.
  • Work with the Client Relationship Managers and HR to support the secondee process, including tracking secondee status and briefing/debriefing secondees.
  • Support on the management of the Bank Industry business development budget process.

Business Development

  • Produce client specific outputs, including coordinating content and liaising with the design and editing team as required.
  • With the events team, plan and execute client specific activity (events, roadshows, seminars) to ensure maximum impact and ROI.
  • Maintain key information systems such as CRM and intranet to share and capture strategic client relationship information.
  • Assist the business on proposal opportunities, working with the bids team to provide client and industry intelligence, research, experience and team expertise.
  • Contribute to central marketing and business development initiatives, as required.
  • Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Front line Business Development experience - ideally, will have worked within in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Degree educated.
  • Interest in the financial services industry.
  • Ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Determination and commitment to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Lateral thinking and the ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Team player.
