Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our marketing & communications team as a Digital Media Executive. The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

The role can be home-based, with occasional attendance at one of our regional offices (preferably Bristol), or a hybrid role with a mix of home and office working.

The team

The business development department is embedded within the firm and works closely with our partners and fee-earners to engage our clients and differentiate ourselves in the competitive legal market.

The marketing and communications team is the largest in our wider business development department and is responsible for promoting a greater understanding of Womble Bond Dickinson's strengths and vision in the marketplace through communication channels. This includes marketing, PR, events, client communications, brand and design, digital, sponsorship, thought leadership and national campaigns.

The role

You'll be part of an established marketing and communications team, where there is an opportunity to develop the role and unlock your potential.

You will work closely with our Digital Media Manager and other marketing specialists to enhance brand awareness, convert opportunities and measure the success of our online marketing activities through a variety of multi-channel campaigns and initiatives, on a regional and national level. You'll also work with other stakeholders from across the firm, including lawyers and business support professionals.

Writing will be a big part of your role. You'll become confident with the firm's tone of voice, and will embed key messages throughout our content.

You'll play a key role in supporting the management of WBD's social media channels and will champion their benefits.

Your role will be vital to the upkeep of the firm's website, and you will assist with the production and distribution of e-communications and creating digital assets such as images, GIFs and videos.

Alongside the above, you'll manage the day-to-day administration of the digital team, including fielding internal enquiries and liaising with external agencies on related bug fixes and developments.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be digitally minded and commercially aware, with proven experience in a similar marketing role whilst working on multiple projects and campaigns.

You will have excellent organisation and project support skills, and be capable of building and upholding good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

It goes without saying that you'll have attention to detail and an eye for quality. You'll need experience of using social media and know how to use analytical tools. Part of the role will be regularly monitoring and reporting on the success of our digital channels.

You will also need a good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Drupal, WordPress as well as e-marketing platforms (preferably Vuture). You will have experience of using an asset management system (such as Papirfly) and be able to create and edit videos and animations. You'll be a proficient and confident user of PowerPoint to create engaging presentations and you must really know your way around Word and Excel.

It would be great, but not essential, if you have an understanding of HTML and CCS, along with having active knowledge of CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce).

As well as the above, we're looking for someone who has an enthusiastic, positive, proactive and commercial approach, who is flexible, creative and will bring initiative to the role, as well as being a great team player.
