THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a Product Owner to join our Business Service Delivery team. This is an exciting new role that will be driving the utilisation of ServiceNow & workflow technology to deliver Operational efficiencies and uplift the User experience throughout our International group over the next 12-18 months.

The Product Owner is a senior role and you will join an exciting virtual team tasked with building a pipeline of work that delivers value and realises further tangible benefits from the platform. The ideal candidate will manage the entire pipeline of opportunities at both a strategic and practical level. The Product Owner will be a member of the leadership team and will act as the primary contact between the technical delivery owner, IT team, business stakeholder departments and our senior leadership team. 

They’ll collaborate closely with both the technical and legal operations departments to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients, with a key focus on value and return on investment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of the overall strategic roadmap relating to the provision of workflow capabilities in the ServiceNow platform
  • Aligns business issues with solutions that ServiceNow offers and communicates to business peers the opportuninties for utilisation
  • Creates and enforces the vision and strategy for the programme and the alignment with solving business issues
  • Actively drives expanding the breadth of use of the platform across the Enterprise to deliver most Enterprise benefit
  • Reviews and manages alignment between the various business functions and the technical roadmaps including setting priorities for delivery activities based upon Enterpise benefits realisation.Partners with the Service Owner and supporting team to ensure that capabilities of the platform and team are understood to support delivery against the vision and strategy
  • The Product Owner will work directly with the ServiceNow platform team, Agile delivery teams, stakeholders, delivery partners and Users to help drive the exploitation of this key platform
  • Responsibility to ensure commercial reviews and contractual obligations are met. Including any renewal or amendment to existing contracts
  • Develop and Maintain supplier stakeholder relationships
  • Chair platform governance board meetings and ensure actions are captured, assigned and actively managed through to completion
  • Leads and actively participates in governance meetings and activities
  • Work closely with Service Owner and key business functions ensuring regular and updated path to success can be achieved
  • Senior escalation point for any disputes requiring review or presentation to governance board

ABOUT YOU

  • We are looking for someone with a background in platform product ownership and the gravitas to influence Senior stakeholders across the International Firm
  • Experience in leading implementation and streamlining of business processes
  • Commercial experience as a business analyst, product manager, product owner, or senior process improvement professional
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience delivering complex solutions in an Enterprise environment
  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodology and ability to quickly understand DLA services and their importance to the Firm
  • A broad portfolio of work would be desirable

Key Skills:

Strong demonstrable business acumen and negotiation skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in proposing different options and solutions for tackling and resolving issues
  • Adaptability and positive attitude towards business change
  • Great communication skills, adapting style accordingly to demonstrate an understanding of the audience’s perspective. Also, using discretion when dealing with sensitive information
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and flexible to changes in requirements
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of product development architecture
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of user-centered design principles
  • Ability to work with large disparate teams
  • While this isn't a technical leadership role, a solid technical foundation and a good understanding of enterprise software development is desirable
  • Experience with key workflow technologies (Service Now, Salesforce) and process automation is desirable
  • A pragmatic approach to driving out customer needs over feature deployment and driving clarity out of ambiguity.
