THE OPPORTUNITY

Our UK Payroll team are based in Sheffield. We are a small but mighty team that are responsible for all the UK’s payroll for both employees and partners. This currently is circ. 2,400 however the business is embarking on a large growth trajectory so numbers are expected to increase over the next two years.

The Payroll team are responsible for all aspects of payroll and benefits for the firms UK employees. They also facilitate the running of payments for Partner Drawings and the administration of benefits via our ‘Plus Benefits Portal’.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide accurate, efficient, and timely processing of the group payrolls supporting the Payroll Team & Manager through a period of change whilst the company embeds new systems, processes and procedures. Create & maintain employee records, calculation of salaries & applicable deductions ensuring 100% accuracy in all records.
  • Back up support on End-to-end processing of monthly partner payroll & supplementary runs
  • Back up support on Reconciliation of Month end payments & transfer of payment to third party suppliers
  • Working with GSC to query any anomalies
  • Support both the Payroll & Benefits Manager and team with updating of the benefit systems and payroll databases with any relevant changes
  • Assisting in gathering & providing data for statutory audit
  • Detecting & communicating anomalies & dealing with queries from employees regarding payroll related matters
  • Act as a point of contact for any enquiries offering excellence in customer service to both our internal and external customers
  • Provide assistance to the Payroll & Benefits Manager in data retrieval
  • Assist in payments for Loan Schemes for submission to Senior Payroll & Benefits Administrator for approval
  • Issue P11d to all colleagues
  • Ad-hoc projects
  • Assist in system configuration

  • · Strong organisational skills & multi-tasking abilities
  • · Display excellent interpersonal skills & professionalism

  • · Be a team player & show a willingness to learn
  • · Strong excel
  • · Proven payroll experience & payroll project implementation exp
  • · CIPP Degree & Membership (preferable)
