We're currently looking for a Legal Administrator to join our Plot Sales Team in Newcastle.

What does the team do?

Our Residential Housebuilding team is one of the largest of its kind.  Working with many major house builder, residential development and housing clients our work is diverse and always of the highest quality.  We support our clients in a range of projects from major urban mixed-use developments to green field new settlements, and our expertise in the sector, coupled with our approach to client service means that we are rated as the premier team in Newcastle by both clients and the legal directories.

The team are now looking for a Legal Administrator to join them based out of our Newcastle office. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, busy team where you'll play an integral part in the delivery of some of the UK's most exciting residential developments for premier clients such as house builders. The work is fast paced and challenging but the team are collaborative and enjoy what they do, which makes for a positive working environment

What does the role involve?

You will assist Paralegals within the team.   Your role will be varied and will include (but the list is not exhaustive) assisting in putting together contracts, exchange and completion packs,  processing disclosure of incentive forms, cover notes, HTB paperwork,  liaising with Buyer's conveyancers/updating clients in relation to progress of the transaction, setting up files in readiness for exchange of contracts, preparing completion statements, serving notices, liaising with our finance team in relation to expected funds, requesting invoices, setting up files for completions, post completion matters.  We will off course give you training on all these processes.

So what are we looking for?

You'll ideally have previous admin experience, and whilst experience in a legal environment, in particular conveyancing, would be an advantage, it is by no means essential. What is essential are good IT skills (including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and case management systems), excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise admin coming from multiple streams of work.
