Product Owner (Any UK Office)

Role Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Owner to join our Product & Solutions Delivery team within our Technology Services group.

Our technology led innovations across the firm have given us a leading position and recognisable brand in the market. We have an ambitious programme in place to continue to transform the way we deliver legal service solutions for our clients and industrialise the innovative solutions we have created thus far.

This role has been created to help establish and grow a market leading Product & Solutions Delivery organisation within Pinsent Masons.  The successful candidate will be pivotal in the development of the firm's transformation towards agile software delivery, yielding a more rapid pace of high quality and impactful change.

The Product Owner will take full ownership of the backlogs for multiple Products and Solutions in the firm's portfolio. They will in close partnership with the Product & Solutions Delivery Managers for each of our Practice Groups and the wider Technology Services teams (Product & Solutions Engineering, Product & Solutions Servicing, Strategy & Enterprise Architecture and Business Change) to define, scope and deliver on the Product vision and roadmap with a continuous focus of strategic value and quality.  Moreover this role looks to serve as a conduit between the business stakeholders and Product delivery functions, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve common goals. 

Candidate Overview

If you're the right candidate for us, you will have previously worked as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or equivalent. You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience and understanding of business process modelling and analysis, preferably within the Legal Sector.
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies
  • Experience producing Product artefacts including user stories, user journeys, high-level wire frames etc
  • Experience with Behaviour Driven Development/Testing Automation approaches is highly desirable but not essential
  • Awareness of the current challenges facing the legal market and how legal technology is being applied to address such challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence internal and external stakeholders - anticipating challenges and objections, providing solutions and guidance with support.
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of team members and senior stakeholders from across the firm and our clients, encouraging and facilitating collaboration to achieve common goals.
