Job summary

To act as the primary contact for any queries on the HRIS system (Cascade), ensuring the system is maintained and meets the needs of the HR team and its wider internal clients.

Principal responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for any queries on the HR system.
  • Help to train, coach and support users within HR and the International Office Managers on the HR system.
  • Make sure the integrity of the system is maintained controlling user security, data imports, data audits and making sure data accuracy is high and as up to date as possible.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of GDPR and compliance issues associated with personal and sensitive data.
  • Analyse the workflow needs creating new workflows where required and maintain existing workflows, e.g. new starters, leavers, changes, liaising with HR managers and the Payroll team as necessary.
  • Add new fields and deal with all customisations.
  • Deal with survey submissions and data requests i.e. diversity stats, data extraction etc.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Look at the automation of HR processes reviewing new requirements and evolving existing automations.
  • Liaise with the system providers:

o Review and implement new features and enhancements
o Coordinate/testing (system and user acceptance testing) upgrades
o Coordinate reporting of issues raised by users,
o Working with the firm’s IT department and the HR team as required.

  • Assist with implementation of new HR related software working with the wider HR team.
  • Review the reporting requirements of the firm. Build and maintain reports that best meet those needs.

Ad hoc duties/projects

  • Deal with ad-hoc data requests from the firm.
  • Help design, build and maintain integrations with other systems.
  • Lead on firmwide holiday year close and carry over, liaising with the Reward team and HR managers to ensure accuracy of employee holiday entitlement data.
  • Research and evaluate and/or alternative solutions and technologies to enhance HR operational effectiveness, helping plan the adoption of new, enhanced technology. Act as the Project Manager in the implementation of new systems where applicable.
  • Assistance in large scale data preparations i.e. salary review, budget etc, including the upload of salary and bonus data.

Person specification

  • A positive and proactive approach.

  • Ability to effectively handle and prioritise competing demands and work within deadlines.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and with minimum supervision.
  • Uses discretion and maintains confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to be diplomatic and professional in challenging situations.

Experience and qualifications

  • In-depth working knowledge of Cascade preferable or other HR software systems.
  • Proven Microsoft Office skills used in a previous role including MS Word and Excel.
  • May have or be working towards a CIPD level of qualification.
