There's no more exciting time to be thinking about joining Womble Bond Dickinson than now. We've made no secret of the fact that we're ambitious and our move to become a transatlantic firm is just further evidence of that. For our people this makes for a really exciting future, one in which everyone has a role to play in furthering our ambitions whilst enjoying challenging and fulfilling careers. And the dynamic nature of the legal sector is just one challenge that we need to respond to as a business to ensure that our clients get the best possible service from us and our business continues to be sustainable.
One of the ways in which we're responding to the market is through continued investment in WBD Advance and our Legal Solutions Centre; a team of solicitors, chartered legal executives, paralegals, management information specialists and legal project managers, capable of providing support to the wider business on a regular and ongoing basis, for high volume projects or secondment opportunities, and providing some services directly to clients.
We've a team of highly motivated and high performing paralegals, but to ensure they continue to deliver we've put in place a team of qualified lawyers to provide technical supervision and training to the various paralegal teams. Having already recruited into a number of areas, we're now looking to strengthen the team with an additional Real Estate Lawyer.
So what are we looking for?
We're looking for a Real Estate lawyer, technically strong, with previous experience in managing or supervising people, ideally paralegals, but certainly with a passion for developing talent. You'll be part of a team responsible for providing technical supervision and development to our paralegals, but will also work with the wider real estate and planning teams, managing a large portfolio of matters from secured lending, landlord and tenant transactions, infrastructure adoption instructions for national housebuilder clients, to title due diligence work and work in the social housing and education sectors. You'll work closely with the Legal Solutions Centre Director and other senior lawyers in the team to continue to build a credible and high performing team of paralegals, with the flexibility to respond to the changing needs of our clients, our business and our profession, driving growth in the team and, as a consequence, revenue for the business.
This is a unique opportunity for you to combine your technical expertise with your natural flair for people development in supportive and collegiate environment. But don't worry, your own personal development won't take a backseat. Our amazing Learning and Development team have created a fantastic development programme which will help support you in this role by enhancing your business and leadership capabilities.
Our remote-working model is working really well for us and therefore this role can based anywhere in the Southwest reaching as far as Bristol and Southampton. As most of the team are based in Plymouth, we'll need you to be able to come into this office for team catch ups once or twice a month.
