Job Details

Our Residential team is one of the largest of its kind.  We support our clients in a range of projects acting for PLC house builders, regional house builders, PRS investors and land-owners in respect of residential and residential-led mixed-use developments, for both build to rent and build for sale sectors. Our expertise in the Housing sector, coupled with our approach to client service means that we are rated as the premier team by both clients and the legal directories.

We now have a new opportunity for a Lawyer to join the team.  Our Residential team is based regionally across our Newcastle, Leeds, Bristol, Southampton and Plymouth offices.  We're flexible in terms of which location you'd be based.

What will you be doing?

Within this sector we are seeing significant growth.  We already have an impressive list of major clients and panel appointments.  Successful candidates would join a high profile team with the best exposure to high value development work available which will include conditional contracts and transfers, conditional options, advising on rights of pre-emption, collaboration agreements and development agreements, with a focus on high value residential development and investment projects.

There will be plenty of opportunities for client contact and you'll be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with these contacts.  Business development is also an important aspect for all of our lawyers, and you will be expected to contribute to the growth of the team by assisting with the organisation of and attending client events, writing articles for our website or other publications and other marketing activities.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a talented and enthusiastic residential team who will be as invested in your career development as you are.  We are looking for you to have had some previous experience of residential development work.  Most importantly we need to see your enthusiasm for this area of law and your understanding of the service we offer.  You'll be joining a growing, busy team where you'll play an integral part in the delivery of some of the UK's most exciting residential developments for premier clients.  The work is fast paced and challenging but the team are collaborative and enjoy what they do, which makes for a positive working environment.
