Job Details

We have an interesting and unique opportunity for a Research and Knowledge Analyst to align with our Newcastle office.

This role falls within our hybrid working policy and we would be looking for someone to work 4 days a week, part of which will require you to work in the office.

The team

You'll spend part of the week within the Sectors and Clients team who work closely with the business to shape, develop and implement our sector plans. They also develop and embed client account management best practice across the firm.

The rest of your time will be spent with the Library & Information Services (LIS) team. Equipping our lawyers with the most up to date resources is key to ensuring the advice we provide to our clients is of the highest standard.

The role

During your time with the Sectors and Clients team you'll assist with research and analysis on clients, targets, markets and competitors.  You'll also support the Horizon Scanning process in order to inform fee earners about arising legal and regulatory issues.

Your role within LIS will include maintaining hard copy resources, dealing with research enquiries and carrying out new joiner inductions and refresher training. You'll also be involved in developing the LIS team intranet site.

What are we looking for?

It goes without saying that to be successful in this role you'll have some legal research, business development and/or library skills. It would be great if you have experience of working in a law firm, although this isn't essential.

You'll be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads. You must demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude to delivering an excellent service for clients. You'll also be comfortable with communicating with people of all levels of seniority, both inside and outside the firm.

This could be a great opportunity for someone who has developed research skills whilst studying for a degree or other form of further education.

Above all, we're looking for someone who brings enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
