Who we are

Slaughter and May is a leading international law firm, recognised throughout the business community for its exceptional legal service, commercial awareness and commitment to clients. We advise across the spectrum of legal matters including high-profile, ground-breaking and complex transactions, contentious matters and all aspects of risk. We deliver innovative and bespoke solutions to our clients, domestically and internationally. We provide clear legal advice that spans the globe whilst tackling the cultural nuances between jurisdictions. Our lawyers understand how to coordinate and manage matters in the jurisdictions most relevant to our clients.

We are always on the look-out for new ways of working, and new ways of adapting the most advanced technologies to make the way we work the most efficient and most effective for our clients and Associates.

We are now offering the opportunity to become part of our dynamic e-Disclosure team, with responsibility for identifying and implementing this technology on a day to day basis.

At Slaughter and May, with over 1,200 partners and staff worldwide, everyone's contribution is valued, and we all enjoy an open, friendly and supportive environment. We have an underlying sense of pride in who we are and what we do, and our inclusive culture gives rise to a unique diversity of thinking, which is critical to our success and helps maintain our position as a true market leader. To support our employees in achieving their professional development objectives, we offer an unrivalled variety of learning and development opportunities to everyone, as well as a highly competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. As a result of Government guidance in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we have successfully and seamlessly adapted to home-working, which is a testament to the resilience and agility of our people. We all look forward to returning to our prestigious Headquarters at One Bunhill Row, in the heart if the City of London, when it is safe and appropriate for us to do so, where we enjoy a range of excellent facilities.

Would you like to join one of the world’s most prestigious law firms?

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a professional, engaging individual to join us as an e-Disclosure Project Manager.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Our Disputes and Investigations (DI) and Competition groups have an outstanding international reputation. We have an impressive client base, which includes leading financial institutions, global corporates, governments and international organisations. We handle a wide range of civil disputes and proceedings as well as allegations involving white-collar crime and criminal proceedings arising in a corporate context. We act in complex, high value, multi-jurisdictional litigation, arbitrations and mergers in the United Kingdom and abroad.

The DI and Competition groups are made up of over 20 Partners, 100 Associates and 30 Trainee Solicitors. Each group is supported by Practice Support, Knowledge and Innovation, Business Development and Project Management teams.

Sitting alongside these fee earning legal teams is a Legal Operations unit. The unit consists of a Paralegal Team, and a Document Review Team (whose size depends on the volume of work being undertaken) and will soon be joined by an Evidence Review Management Team.

At the heart of this unit is the eDisclosure Team.

At Slaughter and May we have access to the most advanced technology, a variety of review platforms and the support of some of the best eDisclosure Service Providers in the market.

Broadly speaking, we leave our ESP to deliver on the left and right side EDRM. What we seek is intelligent, inquisitive and experienced eDisclosure professionals to lead on central EDRM. We will assume you are able to supervise and quality control the collection, processing and production phases executed by the ESP; but what excites us, and what we hope excites you, is the use of advanced analytics and AI alongside intelligent and bespoke review processes to properly interrogate large electronic data sets.

In these tasks you will act a trusted adviser to our Associate and Evidence Review Teams, being treated as an integral part of the case teams. We expect you to be able to provide clear, consistent and robust advice, and to be able to lead case teams (and clients) through the complexities of advanced review

You will need to work alongside our ESPs and with our Evidence Review and Paralegal Teams to deliver innovative, technology focussed solutions throughout the disputes, investigations and merger processes.

This is a role that requires much more than an enthusiasm for technology. We are looking for team players, and you will be required to take the lead in discussions with our associate teams in the planning, structuring, monitoring and delivery of e-Disclosure projects.

We are open to discussing this as a permanent, a fixed-term contract or a temp-to-perm opportunity.
