Where you'll work   

The Finance Systems team support the Finance and Risk department systems, being responsible for maintaining and developing systems and processes to support both departments and the wider business with accurate and reliable information, systems, and processes.

This new role will be responsible for evaluating and documenting business processes within the General Counsel & Risk and Finance departments, identifying areas for improvement leading to the definition and implementation of solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform requirements analysis to ensure system solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Working with colleagues, supplier support teams and external consultants to agree requirements for changes, new features, and products.
  • Signing off change specifications and monitoring the delivery and timely completion of changes.
  • Performing and overseeing user acceptance testing and ensuring that testing covers all application functionality.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for Intapp Open.
  • Supporting users with system aspects of risk management processes.
  • Assisting Risk and Finance department users improve their working knowledge of systems processes by means of coaching and process documentation.
  • Working with users from fee earner and support departments to resolve issues and escalate to supplier help desks when required.

The role will also provide support to the Finance Systems Manager, the Finance team and other users in the delivery of ad hoc requests and project work on systems developments, enhancements, and upgrades both within Finance and to support the wider business.

What you'll need

Experience and skills

The successful candidate must have experience working in a legal services environment using the Intapp Open system.

The candidate must also have experience of:

  • Core risk management processes within a law firm environment.
  • Using SQL to interrogate databases.
  • Advanced use of Excel, preferably including VBA skills.

Additionally, some experience of the following would be desirable:

  • Thomson Reuters Elite 3E Practice Management System.
  • Financial processes within a law firm environment.
  • Principles of project management.
