Job Details

It's no secret that we're an ambitious firm and our vision and culture truly reflect that. At the heart of this is an outstanding client experience, something that Womble Bond Dickinson prides itself on, and it's something that we've become so well known for. We believe it's what will support the growth of our business, allow us to do rewarding and profitable work and create a sustainable business for our people.

But we can't uphold that reputation and grow our business without continuing to recruit some of the very best talent in the legal industry. And that's where our team comes in. We've had some great successes; attracting outstanding talent to the business, gaining recognition for our apprenticeship programme and recruiting and developing the future leaders of our business through our graduate scheme. But there's plenty more for us to do if we're going to help our business achieve its vision and we need your help in doing that.

We're now looking for a Recruitment Resourcer to join our in-house recruitment team. You'll find our team in various locations across the UK, and whilst it's important that we come together regularly to support our own development, as well as each other, and to collaborate on various projects, we're pretty relaxed about where you will be located.  If you have a burning desire to be office based, then you'll find most of the team in Bristol, Newcastle and Southampton.

What will you be doing?

You will be right at the heart of the growth for one of our newest and most innovative teams, GC Solutions, a team of lawyers who provide support to in-house legal teams through a variety of secondment opportunities.  As demand for this service grows, we've identified a need for a Recruitment Resourcer to be embedded within this team, working closely with the management team, and our wider recruitment team, to proactively source candidates and manage the recruitment lifecycle from interview through to offer.

This is a unique team which will enable you to utilise your full creativity in devising resourcing strategies and marketing campaigns.

What are we looking for?

The existing recruitment team come from very diverse backgrounds and that enables us to add real value to the business.  It also means that we're very open to recruiting additional team members from a variety of different backgrounds, whether that's agency, in-house or more generalist HR.  What's more important is that you share our passion and enthusiasm for recruiting the best possible talent into our business, understand what drives the business and have a range of super recruiter skills!

We work with some fantastic people, we enjoy what we do and we have a bit of fun along the way. But importantly, we're made to feel that we're really contributing to the success of this business.

What makes it great to work here?

We continually work hard to create an open culture that sets us apart from other firms. Our culture gives us much more of a human feel, emphasising that we're more than just suits!  We like and make time for each other enabling us to establish professional relationships that can often become lasting friendships.

Through our D&I initiatives we create an environment in which difference is valued.  We have a Diversity and Inclusion Group, led by our Board Sponsor, which works with our colleague networks (we currently have firm supported networks for ethnic diversity, LGBTQ+ and for families, and we're in constant dialogue with our people about how we expand our networks to better support everybody).  We encourage applicants from all social backgrounds, ethnicities, disabilities, gender identities and sexual orientations.

As signatories to the Mindful Business Charter, it's important that our people are able to maintain healthy and happy lives, both in and out of work.  We have a number of resources and initiatives designed to support health and wellbeing, including our team of dedicated mental health first aiders.  We recognise that getting the right work life balance is a priority for all of us and we're very happy to talk flexible working, full-time or part-time working patterns.  We also recognise the challenges of relocation and post-pandemic return to the office.

And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can choose and vary the benefits that matter most to you.

Next steps

If this sounds like your next career move then please get in touch to find out more. No agencies please, we're an in-house recruitment team!

If this isn't the role for you (or the right time) why not connect with us on LinkedIn or follow us on Twitter and Instagram (@WBD_CareersUK) to keep up to date with all of our opportunities.  We also have a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/womblebonddickinsoncareers/)
