Job Details

We're currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our Programme Management Unit (PMU) on a full time, permanent basis.

We have offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, London, Bristol, Southampton and Plymouth so it would be great if you were able to access one of these locations for socialising with colleagues and occasional office working. We offer hybrid and full-time home working so we'd also consider applications from people elsewhere in the UK.

The team

The PMU is responsible for co-ordinating, defining, supporting and running the Programme of key Projects for the firm, encompassing both internal and client facing projects.  They do this by providing qualified Programme Management, Project Management, Business Analysis expertise and Project Assurance.

The role

As a Business Analyst you will be integral to defining and delivering the various firm projects.

You will be responsible for;

  • Defining the scope of the project
  • Effective communication to ensure understanding & agreement between all stakeholders of a project
  • Articulating problems and processes to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Eliciting, documenting & validating business requirements
  • Managing requirements through the project life-cycle
  • Working with Project Managers to support the delivery of the project
  • Potentially working on multiple projects of varying levels of complexity at any one time
  • Acting as a key interface between all stakeholders both internal and external
  • Ensuring that our solution, software and systems meet both the needs of users and of our overall business strategy
  • Providing counsel on a best in class approach to Business Analysis

What are we looking for?

You'll have experience of working in a similar role within a professional services environment and will have hands-on experience of requirement gathering and process mapping as well as stakeholder analysis.

To be successful in this role you should be able to communicate effectively at all levels and be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with those around you.

It would be great if you have or are working towards a BCS Diploma in Business Analysis, but this is by no means essential.
