Where you'll work:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior paralegal to join the sales & Home Ownership Team in Manchester.  The Sales and Home Ownership team provide a range of services to Registered Providers and Private Developers including shared ownership and open market sales, Help to Buy, interim and final staircasing, licence to assign applications, mortgagee in possession sales, among others.  The team covers a wide range of additional conveyancing matters from acquisition to sales, to meet all client requirements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting on residential conveyancing matters;
  • Providing excellent and timely client service;
  • Building and maintaining effective client relationships;
  • Advising private developers and registered providers on the sale of new build properties;
  • Advising registered providers on shared ownership schemes including staircasing transactions and Deeds of Variations;
  • Advising registered providers on right to buy and right to acquire sales;
  • Conduct of files;
  • Assisting members of the team on a wide range of property matters;
  • Assisting with the management, development and motivation of legal staff and business services staff
  • Advising on leasehold management matters;
  • Building and maintaining effective client relationships;
  • Ensuring files are managed in compliance with the firm's Lexcel procedures;

What you'll need:

  • Common sense.
  • Excellent academic record;
  • Conveyancing experience as a Paralegal is essential;
  • Prior experience in real estate work in private practice, ideally with experience of development
  • matters is beneficial;
  • Good team player;
  • Experience of handling conveyancing matters is essential;
  • A willingness to develop conveyancing knowledge;
  • A willingness to develop general property law knowledge.
  • Experience of running matters with minimal supervision.
