Job Details

Our nationally based commercial lawyers are integral to our continuing success. Representing an impressive range of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients, public sector organisations, educational institutions and industry bodies, on high-profile, business-critical transactions and regulatory matters, they play a vital role in helping clients build growth and success. The team (one of the largest and most successful of its type) comprises specialists in commercial, IT, IP and data protection law who are located across our network of UK offices and includes nationally recognised leaders in their field.

Our commercial team, which is led by Paula Bartlett is in growth mode and as such have an opportunity for a mid-level lawyer to join, working from either our Southampton, Bristol, Newcastle or Plymouth offices.

What will you be doing?

In this varied role you'll find yourself working on a wide spectrum of work from negotiating large outsourcing deals to drafting smaller supply contracts, and everything in between, for an enviable client base of household names in a wide variety of sectors including retail, manufacturing, aerospace and defence, public sector and financial institutions (in line with our firm's focus on industry sector know-how and regional knowledge).

What does the ideal candidate look like?

Ideally we'd like to recruit a lawyer of between two and five years' post qualification experience in commercial contracts, IT services agreements and/or data protection gained at a City or large regional firm or in-house. Whatever your experience level you'll need excellent drafting and communication skills and have a natural ability to build long lasting client relationships and provide pragmatic solutions.
