Would you like to join one of the world’s most prestigious law firms?
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a professional, technically strong and engaging individual to join us as a London-based Sustainability and Climate Change Associate, as part of our ESG team.
Our multi-specialist approach to the Sustainability Climate Change and practice group brings together expert lawyers advising on the wide range of sustainability, energy transition, ESG and climate change issues that organisations face.
These include carbon and wider sustainability reporting, advising on governance matters, the development of provisions in contracts and finance documentation addressing climate change and sustainability concerns, sustainability drivers in directors’ remuneration packages, due diligence considerations relating to sustainability and supply chains, renewable energy projects, emissions trading schemes, and access to sustainable finance products.
Our clients increasingly view climate change and sustainability related matters as an opportunity to establish authentic purpose and differentiate themselves in the eyes of customers, investors and employees beyond just risk management.
We are providing our clients across various sectors, including energy, utilities, real estate and retail, with the legal tools to support their work in this area. More generally, our Sustainability and Climate Change lawyers have been advising and training a broad range of clients, including those within the FTSE 100, government departments and think tanks, on integrating sustainability considerations into contractual documentation and business strategy.
As a firm we focus on high-value, complex and challenging transactions which are interesting and varied. This approach is adopted by our Sustainability and Climate Change practice, both in terms of standalone advice and transactional support.
The role is primarily client facing and fee earning. However, given the developing nature of the practice there will be a significant knowledge and innovation and business development angle to the role.
