Job Details

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Business Assurance Analyst to join our Business Assurance Unit (BAU) in Plymouth. The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the team

The BAU forms part of our Risk and Best Practice team, which incorporates a legal team, internal audit, compliance, projects and information security. They all work together to ensure we consistently deliver outstanding client service through the creation of proportionate, risk based policies, procedures and systems.

What will you be doing?

This job will see you providing expert and up to date information to people across our firm from legal teams to finance, IT, HR and many others. You'll be a point of contact for queries relating to risk and best practice, but don't worry as you'll have access to all the information you need to be able to do deliver.  We'll ensure that you have all the training you need to thrive in the role.

Day to day you'll be conducting conflict searches, credit checks, producing reports, investigating queries, interrogating external databases, assessing results, updating our rates system and dealing with a variety of queries from across the firm. There is a great deal to learn but, as mentioned, the rest of the team will be on hand to train and guide you through. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and develop existing ones.

So, what are we looking for?

We'll be looking for previous administration experience.  You'll need to demonstrate your ability to deal with queries, analyse data and resolve problems. Without a doubt this role requires attention to detail, organisation, initiative and the ability to think on your feet.  You'll also need strong IT skills to be able to navigate various systems, databases and web sites.  This is an influential position that requires the ability to engage our people through effective communication skills both written and verbal.
