Job Details

With a national presence of over 200 fee earners across 8 locations we're a force to be reckoned with. The team is big but it doesn't mean we've lost our personal touch.  It's the quality and commerciality of our service, our industry insight and the talent and passion of our people that engages our clients, and they love what we do.

We have a new role for a Real Estate Lawyer to join the team in our Southampton, Bristol or Plymouth locations - we are flexible in terms of location and hours.

What is the role?

This role is to join one of our Real Estate teams which acts for national blue chip retailers, public sector clients, private developers and investors, corporate occupiers and telecoms providers.   The work will include a mixture of landlord and tenant matters including dealing with agreements for lease as well as property acquisitions and disposals.  You'll also be working closely with the wider Real Estate team on transactions that are often high value and offer excellent opportunities to be involved with some of the best quality work in the regions.

Our Real Estate team has a deserved reputation for providing high quality legal advice, acting as trusted advisors to many of the key players across the sector. A number of our talented lawyer are listed as leaders in their field.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

We're interested in seeing applications from NQ lawyers with keen interest in real estate.  You may already be working in a similar NQ role or perhaps you enjoyed this seat during your training contract and want to progress in this area. Most importantly we need to see your enthusiasm for this area of law and your understanding of the service we offer. An understanding of landlord and tenant matters and / or knowledge of dealing with property acquisitions and disposals is desirable.

You'll be a bright and resilient lawyer who is excited at the prospect of working in a busy yet supportive environment. Whatever your experience level, or background, you'll need excellent drafting skills, a sense of commercial pragmatism, a bright mind and a strong team ethos to help further develop the team's client base. You'll also need to be motivated to participate in business development that helps to raise the team's profile and network.
