Wanting a unique opportunity to develop your career in share plans? Wanting to work for a large, supportive practice that offers genuine opportunities to grow and advance? We are looking for bright and commercially focused lawyers to join our market-leading Employee Incentives team.

About CMS
CMS is a Future Facing firm. With 75 offices in 43 countries and 4,800+ lawyers worldwide, we combine deep sector understanding with a global overview, giving us the ability not only to see what's coming, but to shape it.

CMS is well equipped to help our clients face the future with confidence. We are driven by technology and readily embrace the possibilities it opens up for developing new and better ways of delivering legal services. Our bold approach to a changing future ensures that we nurture our employees and recruit top talent.

About the Team

With 3 partners, 8 other specialists and a trainee (all of whom work exclusively on employee incentives matters), the CMS Employee Incentives team is one of the largest teams to be found in any UK law firm. We act for a wide-range of corporate clients, including start-ups (through the CMS equIP programme), large privately-owned companies, UK-listed companies and multi-nationals. We advise on the design and implementation of all forms of equity incentive arrangement in the UK, provide guidance on the corporate governance aspects of reward and support to our Transactions team with the share plan aspects of both public and private M&A. Working alongside ShareReporter (a joint venture established by CMS to deliver smart-tech solutions in the global share plan space) and our colleagues throughout the World, we also advise on the implementation and operation of international share plans.

About the Role
You will have a senior role in the team and will be responsible for:
- Developing your own areas of professional interest (with support from the partners).
- Taking a leading role on both advisory mandates and transaction support.
- Helping to develop both new and existing client relationships.
- Supporting the strategic development of the team and helping with marketing initiatives and with raising the team's profile.
- Managing and supervising the more junior members of the team.
- Providing training and mentoring to the more junior members of the team.
To meet the needs of this role, you will have an appropriate level of post qualification experience (we anticipate a minimum of 8 years) in a leading professional services firm.

About You
Aside from having the technical skills and experience to perform the relevant role, you will have the desire to work in a highly-successful team and to contribute to the future success of that team. You will be focused on delivering first-class client service and will relish the opportunity to work alongside highly-motivated but supportive colleagues who will help you to succeed. You will be excited by the career development opportunities that the team is uniquely placed in the market to offer.
