With a national presence of over 200 fee earners across 8 locations our Real Estate team is a force to be reckoned with. The team is big but it doesn't mean we've lost our personal touch. It's the quality and commerciality of our service, our industry insight and the talent and passion of our people that engages our clients, and they love what we do.
Our Real Estate Development and Investment team has a city pedigree and national reputation for focusing on commercial real estate investment and development work. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join them based in our Southampton office as a result of a growth in work and promotion of team members.
What will you be doing?
You'll experience a wide range of property transactions through acquisitions and disposals, development work and asset management work for investors. We have a diverse mix of clients that span the public and private sectors and include commercial developers, regeneration companies, household names in house building and retail, as well as offices and industrial/warehouse schemes. Transactions are often high value and offer an excellent opportunity to be involved in high profile quality work.
The successful candidate will support lawyers on transactions ranging from investment purchases to new leases and - as their experience builds - run their own caseload of suitable matters. You will have direct partner and client contact right from the start. There's a lot to learn, but don't worry; you'll be given full training and be guided by the rest of the team.
So what are we looking for?
Ideally you will have previous experience in a commercial legal environment, but whilst this may be advantageous, it is not essential. What is key is that you have a genuine passion for this area of law and be invested in your own personal development.
You'll have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both externally and internally, be highly organised, efficient and able to prioritise and work independently. You'll have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, strong drafting skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure. Strong IT capabilities are also a must.
You may have already undertaken legal qualifications and may have gained previous experience a Paralegal or Legal Executive within a real estate team or elsewhere; whatever your situation, if you're looking to develop your career and want to experience top notch real estate work, we absolutely want to hear from you.
