Early Talent Co-ordinator
Investing in future talent is so important to our business and our fabulous Early Talent Team are now on the lookout for a Co-ordinator to join them to support the recruitment and development of our future generation of lawyers.
Home-grown talent is at the heart of our recruitment strategy and as an Early Talent professional there is nothing more rewarding than being able to positively impact someone at the start of their career, whether that is a first step or a career change. Our Early Talent team are integral to identifying, developing and supporting our future generation of lawyers; working with schools to inspire young people to consider a legal career, recruiting our future trainee solicitors and working closely with them to support their development and wellbeing through to qualification. We might be a touch biased, but we believe that we deliver a fantastic programme – not only do our clients tell us this, but a number of our partners have progressed from trainees in the firm to the current leaders of our business.
We are currently looking for a Coordinator to join us and be part of the next exciting stage in the development of our early talent strategy. With the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam on the horizon, we have big plans to redesign the way in which we recruit, train and develop our future generation of lawyers, and this is a great opportunity for you to be part of that plan.
So what will you be doing?
We're looking for someone who shares in our passion for recruiting and developing the very best talent and you'll be doing this in a number of ways, including:
- Organising various events to help promote the firm as an employer of choice for graduates
- Co-ordinating the annual recruitment process, liaising with candidates, assessors and the Early Talent Team to ensure we run a robust and engaging process
- Attending assessment centres to ensure the smooth running of the day, acting as the liaison between candidates and assessors
- Supporting the seat rotation and secondment process, liaising with trainee solicitors, supervisors and the Early Talent Team to ensure a smooth transition between teams and/or clients
- Organising the annual induction programme for all new trainee solicitors, and keeping in touch with candidates between offer and joining
- Managing all administrative processes for the team, constantly looking for ways to be more efficient and effective
But it's not all about us, to be honest we're more interested in you. We're open minded about your background but it's likely that you'll have gained some administrative experience within a recruitment or HR team. However, if you're looking for your first step into an HR role, we'd also love to hear from you so that we can tell you all about the great opportunities for career development within our team.
At the heart of all that we do as team, is candidate and employee experience, and it's important that you share that ethos too. Much of your role will be spent liaising with candidates or internal teams, whether that's trainee solicitors, supervisors or partners, so an ability to build relationships and communicate effectively is essential. Given the nature of the role, you'll need to be highly organised and efficient, but as organised as you are, not everything always goes to plan in the world of recruitment so an ability to adapt and think on your feet is crucial. We're a busy team, but we're friendly and supportive, and we know that in order to deliver for the business we have to be able to operate effectively as one team. We work with some fantastic people, we enjoy what we do and we have a bit of fun along the way. But importantly, we're made to feel that we're really contributing to the success of this business.
