We're currently looking for a Legal Administrator to join our Leasehold Disputes Team in Newcastle.

The team

Our specialist Leasehold Disputes Team (LDT) are a key part of our business. They sit within the larger Real Estate Disputes Resolution team, which is one of the largest in the UK – with over 30 Solicitors, Legal Executives and Paralegals supported by a team of excellent Secretaries and Administrators.

The role

Your main duties will include opening and closing files using the team's case management system, photocopying and scanning and general file management.

You will provide a 'full service' to clients and colleagues which will include preparing documents, sending standard letters, putting together exhibits and pleadings to send to court, dealing with billing and other financial matters and ensuring that the filing system is maintained.

What are we looking for?

This is a busy team, so to be successful in this role you'll need to have previous experience of working in an administrative capacity, good IT skills and basic mathematical skills. You'll also need to be a great team player who is helpful and supportive to colleagues. You should understand the importance of working together, sharing responsibilities and promoting team spirit.

Although training will be provided in all aspects of the role, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is essential as is adaptability and a flexible attitude. You'll need to have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
