And our unique approachable culture is not an added extra, it's fundamental to our success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and process international and domestic payments from the firms electronic banking facilities on a daily basis from both office and client bank accounts
  • Co-ordinate and communicate the receipt of office and client monies to fee earners on a daily basis and, where appropriate, investigate to ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), Money laundering Regulations (MLR)
  • Maintain the client and office ledgers on the firms practice management system, posting receipts and payments and ensuring full compliance with internal controls and other regulations (SAR and MLR)
  • Liaising with fee earners to clear residual balances when applicable
  • Assist with administrative tasks, analysing client account ledgers, compile data, conduct research and undertake special projects as required
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be required to ensure the efficient operation of the Legal Cashiers team's services
  • Participate in group projects and initiatives as required
  • Actively manage your own personal training and development requirements, identifying and acting on suitable development opportunities

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who has previous experience in a Legal Cashier role, or similar, with a solid working knowledge of Solicitors Account Rules, Money Laundering Regulations and electronic banking processes.
