DLA Piper, a leading global firm, is looking for a Procurement Analyst (Contract Analyst), who will be joining our procurement team, located in our centre in Leeds. The procurement function sits within the global Business & Service Delivery department, providing the best in class service to all business functions, supporting the whole of the United Kingdom.

Our successor will be a detail oriented, commercially focused and adept at undertaking effective contract reviews, encompassed with a natural desire to develop a great rapport with both our internal and external stakeholders. 

This role provides a great platform for an individual who thrives on delivering commercial value and outstanding customer service applying both to deliver solutions that add value to the business.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertaking sourcing projects and contract reviews supporting the wider team (Categories include IT, Marketing, Property and Workplace)

  • Managing a range of contract management tools and databases to support contract management and compliance 

  • Supporting supplier management activities within an established governance framework

  • Providing a "Help Desk" service to support contract and supplier queries

  • Providing analytical support for the team reviewing supplier performance and commercial data

  • Interacting with the Procurement team and stakeholders on an international basis

ABOUT YOU

Technical:

  • Category management experience and sourcing activities.

  • Adept at analysing and presenting data in Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Adept at reading and understanding the small print with a focus on details

  • Experience in negotiating commercial contracts 

  • A familiarity with and understanding of standard terms and conditions in contracts

Behavioural:

  • Highly communicative in style and skilled in presenting in both the written and spoken word

  • Clear customer service and solutions focus

  • Collaborative approach to team work coupled with the confidence to show initiative and work independently.
