Job Details
"..seasoned industry experts, with a significant depth and breadth of experience." – Chambers & Partners
We are looking for an Associate to join our highly regarded Corporate team in London to focus on Private Equity work. Having advised on a large number of deals with an aggregate value in excess of £2 billion in recent years, the number and range of transactions we undertake is what really sets us apart. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected team, known for having an entrepreneurial outlook and approach, and work on exciting deals both nationally and internationally.
The practice
Our Private Equity team provides advice throughout the investment lifecycle, from deal structuring to exit. We provide results-focused, legal advice in leading private equity and growth capital transactions and advise on all aspects of investments such as buy-outs, exits, growth capital, operational issues, portfolio acquisitions, setting up new funds and structural issues.
Our transactional private equity practice approaches the market with three distinct offerings: our financial sponsor offering targets the private equity houses for new platform investment work as well as portfolio bolt on's and exits; our family office offering targets high net worth's and family offices investing into unquoted stocks taking control or non-control stakes; and our management advisory team works with management teams, typically on larger mandates outside the traditional investment size of our financial sponsor clients. A selection of our financial sponsor clients include: Alcuin Capital Partners, Ambienta, BGF, Caledonia Private Capital, Growth Capital Partners, Horizon Capital, LDC, Mobeus Equity Partners, RJD Partners, Synovia and Tenzing Private Equity. We operate within key sectors such as digital business and financial services.
Increasingly we have started to be considered as the European firm of choice for middle market US Private Equity firms looking to deploy capital throughout Europe and have recently won investment mandates from the likes of Pamplona Capital Management and Five Elms Capital as well as broadening our relationship with firms such as The Jordan Company and New Mountain Capital.
