THE OPPORTUNITY    

Following significant growth to date and further projected growth, we now have a new role for a contentious construction, projects and infrastructure associate to join our market leading specialist team, which sits within the firm's wider Litigation & Regulatory practice group.   

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The key focus of the role will be on domestic and international PFI/PPP disputes. Acting for a diverse client and sector base, the successful candidate will gain direct experience in all aspects of disputes avoidance, management and resolution of high quality highly complex disputes in the PFI/PPP sector.  The role will be based in our London office, but will also require frequent travel throughout the UK and to our international offices.

ABOUT YOU

  • Solicitor or barrister, ideally qualified in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction

  • Strong academics

  • Whilst we do not set firm upper or lower PQE requirements for any of our vacancies, we anticipate a minimum of 4 years' fee earning experience within a leading construction litigation team will be necessary to fulfil the technical requirements of the role

  • Well-developed professional and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and legal technical skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and develop internal and external client relationships

  • Organised, with an ability to manage projects and a proven track record of working for infrastructure investment funds and managing risk mitigation strategies on invested projects (desirable)

  • Proactive and innovative

  • Appreciation of the issues that are key for clients within the sector

  • Good knowledge of PC applications, including MS Office
