Role: Senior Client Compute Services Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Reporting to: Global Client Compute Services Manager

Hours of work -

Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Additional hours outside of core will be expected to support project requirements if the need arises

Department/ Role Overview: 

Part of a global team responsible for all client computer services you will be expected to work closely with all teams in the IT function..

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing S.C.C.M. infrastructure
  • Package and Deploy applications
  • Manage OSD through S.C.C.M.
  • Maintain and configure GPO
  • Manage Ivanti infrastructure
  • Manage App-V infrastructure
  • Chair cross team workshops

Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requires and internal policies.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in administration and maintenance of Client Management tools, such as SCCM/Altiris/Ivanti
  • Extensive experience supporting a Windows enterprise environment
  • Work with a ticket logging system to agreed SLAs
  • Demonstrate ability to engineer technical solutions
  • Experience of driving internal technical change
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent Communications skills
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service services

  • Delivering applications via Citrix Xenapp/Micrososft App-V
  • Virtual Image management - VMware/Citrix
  • Device Encryption
  • Software Updates management
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
  • Scripting Technologies: Powershell/VBS/CMD

  • Windows Server 2012/2016
  • Experience of OS migrations
