Job Details

Our UK Real Estate team are growing and our residential team now has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join the team in Newcastle.

Led by Tom Willows, the team act for a number of national house-builder and social housing clients, specialising in the sale and purchase of residential properties across the UK.  However, this role will see you working, predominately, with national house-builder clients.

What will you be doing?

This is a really varied role, with lots to get your teeth stuck in to. You'll be supporting the Plot sales team carrying out a range of activities including: opening and closing files, issuing contract packs, putting together exchange and completion documentation packs and submitting searches on search providers portal in respect of purchase of properties by way of part exchange.  That's not all, you'll also be assisting with applications for registrations at the Land Registry including completion SDLT forms and responding to enquiries.

The Plot sales team is a busy one, with lots of tight deadlines and documentation coming through. As an administration assistant a key part of the role is ensuring incoming post is date stamped and updated on the case management system, scanning of completed documentation, sending files to storage and assisting the team with the general day to day tasks as required.

So what does the ideal candidate look like?

Previous administrative experience is not required, but an appetite for the industry is.  We are looking for strong academic achievements, but a graduate level qualification is not essential.

A flexible and adaptable approach is essential, as are excellent IT skills and a strong team ethic. Good communication, both written and verbal and relationship building skills are a must, as is the ability to meet deadlines.  We use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, so experience of working with these and bespoke legal packages would be preferred.

We also have the option to place the successful candidate on the Business Administration Apprenticeship, subject to meeting certain criteria.  This would see you receiving first class training and support to attain your qualification supported by our Early Careers and Real Estate team. If you'd like to be considered for this route, please specify in your application.

What is in it for you?

We offer a competitive salary along with a flexible benefits package that can be tailored to suit your needs. This could include buying more holiday to go on the holiday of your dreams,  buying a bike through our cycle purchase scheme to make your commute to work environmentally friendly and tax-efficient or joining our Christmas savings club to ensure you have the festive expenses covered! In addition, through our Diversity & Inclusion practices and programmes we work hard to ensure that difference is visibly valued and welcomed. Visit our D&I page to find out more.
