THE OPPORTUNITY

We're currently looking to hire a Process Improvement Lead to join our established team based in the U.K.

The team are well embedded within the firm, delivering meaningful change management and process projects within the practice groups and on behalf of our clients.

This is an exciting and hands-on opportunity to join one of the world's leading international law firms to deliver and drive greater client value at the right pricing point.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the wider team, you will deploy Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques within one of our practice groups, directly supporting legal teams to develop and implement improvements in line with DLA Piper's business process improvement program.

Your role will include the following duties:

  • Promoting the services of the Process Improvement team as well as those of other departments (legal project management, tech, resourcing) as part of a holistic solutions based approach

  • Supporting DLA Piper's internal and external stakeholders in process improvement project scoping, definition, design and implementation

  • Embedding the processes and technology necessary to differentiate us in the marketplace

  • Documenting various business processes using VSM and process mapping tools including Visio

  • Producing legal standards documents by working with our professional support lawyers

  • Facilitating process improvement training at yellow belt level

  • Working with cross-functional teams on scoping, identifying and building value-added solutions backed by sound processes

  • Providing process-driven solutions for identified business needs

ABOUT YOU

  • Ability to motivate a wide range of stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines and measurable objectives for progress

  • Process improvement experience with a background delivering efficiencies in a FTSE 250 business

  • Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering results

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desireable for this position (consideration given to Agile, Lean, and other certifications)

  • Prince 2 or similar qualification is an advantage but not essential
